Kampung Penyu has come up with a solution which is to bring this Pangkor Island Coastal Rehabilitation and Tree Planting Project. The solution given is quite simple, which is the replanting of coastal trees and beach cleaning through the active involvement of local communities and tourists from various backgrounds.
The main objective of this project is to rehabilitate turtle landing sites in Pangkor Island, with the
main key output of;
- Construction of a nursery for coastal tree saplings.
- Plant at least 1,000 coastal trees around Pangkor Island.
- Develop community leaders to champion environmental conservation issues in Pangkor.”
