Bandar Sunway, 17 Dec 2022 – In collaboration with Microsoft Malaysia, and Biji-biji Initiative, a 2-day community empowerment workshop known as the Collective Impact Program was conducted to empower communities in need by equipping them with up-to-date Microsoft digital skills and enhancing their employability for opportunities in tech.

During the workshop, over 70 learners and community members from Beautiful Gate and PPR Lembah Subang have come together to be upskilled at Sunway University. After completing the workshop, these learners and community members will receive personalised career coaching over the next 3 months to make use of the skills learnt and landing in their desired job.

In alignment with the SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, the goal of this Collective Impact Program is to upskill 50,000 Malaysians in the underserved communities before Q3 2023 and with this starts the cycle to impact more communities nationwide.

Thank you Sunway University for being the venue sponsor to the program and providing computer labs for the communities to learn. A shoutout to our trainers, Thila Vijayan and Rahul Thomas, as well for their training and teaching.
