To build the internal capacities of 10 Environmental NGOs in Perak, the Environmental NGO Accelerator Programme aims to establish a highly effective and influential pool of environmental NGOs in Malaysia, starting with a focus on Perak as a pilot for nationwide implementation. This structured 1-year accelerator programme enhances participating NGOs’ skills and organizational capacity, with a focus on improving performance, building technological and digital capabilities, increasing technical expertise, and enhancing communication strategies. The programme includes support services aimed at accelerating scale, culminating in the development of a comprehensive midterm strategic plan aligned with Perak state’s environmental conservation direction.
To run Malaysia’s first Environmental NGO Accelerator Programme, towards building a pool of highly effective, influential and synergetic environmental NGOs that will serve as a catalyst to create transformative environmental change. This solution is achieved through a structured 1-year accelerator programme to enhance their skill sets and organisational capacity, starting with a specific focus on the State of Perak, that may serve as a pilot programme leading to nation-wide implementation..
We are implementing an accelerator program based approach, to instill relevant skills and competencies amongst the participating organisations. Accelerator programmes are curated with the aim to accelerate scale through provision of specific, relevant support services over an intensive programme period.
The proposed Environmental NGO Accelerator Programme will:
improve the environmental NGOs organisational performance and management
build technological and digital capabilities
increase their technical expertise
enhance their communication strategies to increase engagement with the public, funders and policy makers
enable participating NGOs to develop a comprehensive midterm strategic plan, incorporating their own Theory of Change and key outcomes, which are ensured to be aligned with the Perak state’s direction for environmental conservation.
