Jey Bala spent four years at Hewlett & Packard and Dell as a trainer and quality auditor. Before that, he taught English in a local school as well as in Tenby International School. He studied Business IT in college and completed an online TESOL course.
Before his role in Me.reka and Biji-biji, Jey was the manager at SOLS 24/7 under the IT and Education department. While he was there, he developed a book to train students, reporting modules, SOPs and also procured computers from corporations to be donated, recycled e-waste and trained trainers on how to teach IT to students.
Social and service-based work has always been a true calling for Jey Bala. At Me.reka he is in charge of the education, workshops, events and programming. He has run many workshops and is always looking for new things to try.
He enjoys working with people, is a team player and has great communication skills. He loves, recycling, sustainability, eating healthy, hiking, camping, flow arts, games, jamming, and developing new modules/activities.
