Collective Impact Program – Series 2

Gombak, 28 January 2023 – In partnership with Microsoft Malaysia under the Collective Impact Program, Biji-biji Initiative successfully held a Collective Impact Workshop focused to upskill the underserved communities and provide them with opportunities for better livelihoods. 

This time around, the Biji-biji Initiative collaborated with Pertubuhan Perkhidmatan Sosial dan Pembangunan Komuniti (PSPK) Daerah Gombak to provide more than 20 female micro-business entrepreneurs with digital skills. 

The trainer, Rahul Thomas, shared tips and tricks on Microsoft Apps for business such as creating proposals using Microsoft Words, beginner Microsoft Excel functions and designing business flyers using Microsoft Powerpoint. Participants were also exposed to other Microsoft products such as Microsoft 365, Onedrive and Form functions. This could assist boost their businesses and improve their livelihoods as a whole.

Participants were appreciative of the workshop where one gave credit to the trainer who ensured the pace of the workshop was not too fast, allowing beginners like them to be able to learn as much as they can. While a few others mentioned how ecstatic they were to learn these useful Microsoft tools that could assist them generate more income. More positive reviews were given by PSPK volunteers too. 

The Biji-biji Initiative would like to extend their gratitude to PSPK for providing them with the computer lab equipped with Internet and computer facilities, allowing participants to learn with ease and comfort.
