The SEAM Opening Summit marked the beginning of a one-year programme journey for the 10 social enterprises. The summit provided a space for open exchange and reflection focused on collaboration, trust-building, and leadership well-being. With support from IKEA co-workers and key ecosystem players, the social enterprises are now set to scale their impact through mentorship, peer learning, and capacity-building activities throughout the year.

Explore our takeaways from the partners gathering in June 2024, organised by IKEA Social Entrepreneurship in Älmhult, Sweden. Biji-biji, along with regional partners like Ashoka, Instellar, NESsT, and New Ventures. We explored regional differences in support for SEs. Inspired by IKEA's co-creation and impact-focused approach, we're excited to apply these insights to the Social Enterprise Accelerator Malaysia (SEAM) programme.

Introducing the 10 social enterprises of the Social Enterprise Accelerator Malaysia (SEAM) programme’s 1st Cohort! These social enterprises were selected for their strong social impact and commitment to creating positive change, especially within communities that are marginalised in Malaysia. As we begin this journey, we look forward to the positive changes ahead, and hope that our collective efforts will contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive future.
